Car Pick #1 - Toyota Camry
The Toyota Camry has always been a reliably safe vehicle. It scores well on both independent testing and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) testing. As well, in surveys, it tends to receive above-average reviews from consumers, themselves. Most people who have driven this vehicle are more than happy with their purchases, whether new or used. Aside from durability in a crash, the Camry is known for its roomy and spacious interior. Most test drivers also feel that this model is much quieter, and smoother riding than its competitors.
Car Pick #2 - Pre-2007 Honda Accord
Honda has traditionally been known for excellent quality at good prices. They have always appeared to be good value for the money. But, some experts feel that this perception is waning, due to shoddy workmanship in recent years. In fact, when buying a used car, if you have chosen an Accord, it is recommended that you choose between the years of 2000 through 2007. These models have been shown to have better quality, are typically more reliable, and are in fact, less headaches for car owners. Older ones were excellent models, but they may be too old to purchase as used vehicles now.

For 2011, the Kia Optima, won the prestigious position of receiving a five-star crash safety rating from the NHTSA in the US. Additionally, it was also the Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Although buying a 2011 is not exactly an old vehicle, there are nonetheless, various pre-owned cars on the market. But, their older models are equally appealing, because they are usually less expensive than other cars, enabling buyers to meet tight budget constraints. Lastly, their warranties are transferable. Be careful of the Sedona, though, because its track record has been very poor.

From 2006 onwards, the Sonata has been increasingly known for its advanced safety features. Many things changed in the year 2006, so we would not recommend a used car purchase prior to that year for this model. In addition to the safety enhancements, the sedan has excellent legroom, is very quiet on the highway, and has comparable features to other luxury sedans. It is a bigger vehicle, which is more suitable for families, and adults who prefer larger cars for their money.
Car Pick #5 - Pontiac Vibe
While this car is no longer in production, it received high reviews from different consumer groups. It was considered an excellent compact vehicle in terms of safety, and had above- average results for fuel economy. It was also inexpensive even when sold new. Many of the parts were the same as the Toyota Matrix, which means that the car was reliable, and if you should get the chance to buy a pre-owned Vibe, you should seriously consider the purchase.
